Composing and Arranging

David is a busy arranger and composer, mainly working with brass; however he has also composed and arranged for orchestras, wind ensembles and choirs. David also transcribes and transposes music from parts or manuscripts; and has been employed by the Welsh College of Music to transcribe for their brass department.

Works include - 

Schizophonic (a contemporary work for trumpet, horn and trombone)

Pavane (Faure) arranged for brass quintet

Agnus Dei (anthem written for choir)

Events Management

As well as assisting with the organisation of Pentatonic Brass, David is also studying the field of Arts Management with Aiden Plender. He has worked with Pocket Publications,a hire library and publishing company based in Penarth, South Wales; and has also done music library work with the Kent Music Summer Schools and the UK Paper Concert Band. 

Music Journalism

David has had reviews published in the Trombonist, the magazine of the British Trombone Society.

David also works part-time within his college, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Currently he works in the Front of House Department (working within a busy box office and on the ushering team) and the Library.
